MUMBAI: Salman Khan's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi completes two decades today and we are still not over the romantic comedy. The 2004 blockbuster movie starred Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles and the laughter riot till date remains iconic. Set in the backdrop of Goa the movie witnesses two men (Salman and Akshay) continuously trying to win Rani's (Priyanka Chopra) heart.
Salman Khan as Sameer was won hearts because of his impeccable acting skills and those signature dance steps in Jeene Ke Hain Chaar Din got the nation grooving. Salman as the quintessential lover boy in the movie was what made him stand out and the efforts he puts in for winning Rani's love was something that has been engraved in our hearts forever. Salman and his comic timing in the movie is perfect and with each scene there is a punch that makes him the guy with an impressive sense of humour.
Mujhse Shaadi Karogi is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was a clutter breaker and emerged as the fourth highest grossing movie of that year and also won a number of accolades and widespread appreciation for the performances, direction and music.
As the romantic comedy completes 20 years today it is one of the best made movies and it surely deserves a mega celebration. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is coming to the next Eid 2025 with Sikandar, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss, releases in theatres in Eid 2025.
