MUMBAI: Divya Khossla's new offering is Savi with Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane. The diva had started off her career at the mere age of 17 with Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo, but with Yaariyan she started off her first directorial debut. Well, in Yaariyan 2 she had played the lead role opposite Meezan Jafri and Pearl V Puri.
Earlier during an exclusive interview when the actress was asked about her journey from Yaariyan to Sanam Re she said, "I think it has been a journey of learning and my journey is still on, but I am happy and proud of how far I have reached. I have directed and given successful films which is not easy. Giving a successful film to newcomers is the most difficult task.
Talking about the diva she has made the right noise with Savi as it has been directed by Abhinay Deo who has directed Delhi Belly. The action-packed thriller has the perfect blend of suspense with a social message that will shock you. If you have seen the trailer of Savi, it shows how Divya does a jailbreak and saves her husband who gets framed. The beauty of the movie is that the genre is unique and a modern spin has been given to the mythological tale of Sati Savitri. For the unversed, the movie is a classic tale of Sati Savitri where the lady defies the odds, and fights Lord Yamraj- God of death to bring back her husband. Well, have you watched Savi yet?
