Shahid Kapoor replaces Imran Khan in Milan Talkies...is OUATIMD debacle a reason?

Looks like the first wicket has fallen after the debacle of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara. Imran Khan who was earlier signed on star as the main lead in Ekta Kapoor’s Milan Talkies has now been replaced by Shahid Kapoor. While there was no official word yet on the sudden removal, the usual rumour about Imran’s non-availability of dates has already started doing the rounds. Somehow, we are not too convinced that its dates that were the real problem behind the replacement. Apparently, Imran Khan had received ample brickbats for his poor performance in OUATIMD with critics punching holes in his acting abilities. And the tough task master that Ekta is known to be, Imran’s poor performance may not have gone down well with her. Well one actor’s loss is always another actor’s gain. And standing to gain this time is Shahid Kapoor who desperately needs a break to stay in the reckoning Milan Talkies to be directed by the classy Tigmanshu Dhulia could well do wonders to Shahid’s fledgling career. What’s even more exciting is that he would be paired opposite his ex-flame Priyanka Chopra. Though their last outing failed to create any smoke at the box-office, we hope things would pan out in a much better fashion this time around.
