Shashank Arora feels film festivals help in spreading cinema to the world

MUMBAI: After the roaring response, his film Superboys Of Malegaon received at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival), actor Shashank Arora feels blessed. Recently, the Reema Kagti directorial also received a standing ovation at the BFI London Film Festival.

Talking about the film getting a great response, Shashank says, "People seem to resonate with what the film is trying to say. People are coming to watch the film from different parts of the world. I look forward to being here with other filmmakers."

With Superboys Of Malegaon making rounds of film festivals, this marks Shashank's third stint in the festival curcuit. Calling this a big boost for an artiste, he says, "A festival has distributors from around the world...they end up webbing films out to various markets. The true beauty is in spreading cinema in all corners of the world."

Shashank has grown in his journey as an actor, talking about the same he adds, "If you don’t grow, you are doing something very wrong. I feel like I know my job better. I was a young kid who was just happy to get the work and the money. Now, I feel this responsibility to myself to tell more stories with this privilege, this audience that I’ve got."

Earlier to this, Shashank has been a part of some interesting films like Titli, Manto, Lipstick Under My Burkha, etc. His role in Made In Heaven though is most appreciated.
