Sonu Sood extends support to kids orphaned by Punjab Hooch tragedy

MUMBAI: Simmba actor Sonu Sood has turned messiah for many across the country due to his helpful nature during the lockdown. The Bollywood actor went at lengths to make sure he helps all the migrants in the city and stuck across the country reach home safely, back to their families. After helping migrants during the lockdown, Sonu Sood continues to help the needy. As a needful reaches to the Simmba actor on social media seeking help for the kids who lost their parents in recent Punjab Hooch tragedy, Sonu Sood promises to ensure that the kids have a bright future ahead.

On Twitter, a Punjabi-language daily newspaper, Rozana Spokesman tweeted tagging Sonu Sood in a post. The tweet read, “These little kids have lost both parents and are the latest victims of spurious liquor tragedy in Punjab. There is no one to feed them. Your help can secure their future. These kids wanted to study but now it looks impossible. @SonuSood @Karan_Gilhotra.”

The tweet mentioned that the kids in the picture have lost both their parents and are the latest victims of the spurious liquor tragedy in Punjab. It was mentioned how there is no one to feed these kids and hence, some help from Sonu Sood. Requesting the actor some help, the daily mentioned how Sood’s help can secure the future of the kids who wanted to study.

Replying to the tweet, Sonu Sood reacted and promised that he will make sure the kids have a secure future ahead in their lives. The Dabangg actor tweeted, “I ensure these little kids from punjab will have a good home, a nice school and a bright future ahead. Will reach you tomorrow.” He mentioned that he will ensure that the little kids from Punjab will have a good home, a nice school, and a bright future ahead. The actor promised that he will reach out to the person to ensure the kids have a better future.

Speaking of the Punjab Hooch tragedy, in the late July and early August 2020, around 100 people died after drinking illegally-made toxic alcohol in the state of Punjab, India. The very first deaths were reported in Amritsar district's Muchhal village and the most affected districts were Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran, along with other places in and around Rajpura and Shambhu border in Punjab.
