MUMBAI: Here’s some good news for all those who loved the hit film, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. A sequel, reportedly, is on the cards.

Produced by Nitin Keni and directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is a 2001 film starring Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel. The film went on to become a blockbuster, minting more than Rs 250 crore at the box-office. Now, after 18 years, the makers are planning on its sequel.

According to a report in news agency PTI, the story of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), Sakeena Ali Singh (Ameesha Patel) and their son Charanjeet will move ahead with the Indo-Pak angle. The source was quoted saying, “We have been working on Gadar sequel since 15 years. Gadar will be story of Tara (Sunny), Sakeena (Ameesha Patel) and Jeet (their son). The story will move ahead with India-Pakistan angle, Gadar is incomplete without it.”

“The cast will remain same, like how we have seen in films like Baahubali, Rambo, Fast and Furious, etc. We have discussed the idea with Sunny. We can't disclose anything at the moment,” added the source.
