Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law Vishal on Nepometer: Not for profit and also not our first priority

Recently, Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti along with his friend launched Nepometer twitter handle to fight nepotism.

MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise has sparked many debates in the industry. Netizens and many Bollywood filmmakers and actors are opening up about the industry’s nepotistic and bullying nature. SSR’s death left everyone in a state of shock and sorrow. The actor died by suicide on June 14 by hanging himself to death at his Bandra residence. Cops have been investigating his suicide case closely and have already interrogated over 28 people in connection with SSR’s death. Recently, SSR’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti along with his friend launched Nepometer twitter handle to fight nepotism and rate Bollywood movies accordingly.

Now taking to social media, SSR’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti clearly stated that the app has been developed so that it enables people to make informed choices. He further added that the app is a small tribute to Sushant and it’s not for profit voluntary effort. He also mentioned this app is not their first priority. Vishal Kirti is SSR’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti’s husband who stays in California.

The late actor’s brother-in-law Vishal Tweeted, “We’re still grieving. Our focus now is to take care of each other. I shared my brother’s idea of Nepometer because it enables people to make informed choices. It’s a small tribute to Sushant. It’s a not for profit voluntary effort. Please stay patient since it isn’t our 1st priority.”

Earlier, sharing an update about the launch of Nepometer, Vishal had tweeted, “Fight Bollywood Nepotism with Information. We will provide a rating for movies based on how nepotistic or independent movie crew is. If the #nepometer is high, then it’s time to #boycottbollywoodnepotism #fightnepotism.”
