MUMBAI: The much-anticipated second edition of the French Film Festival Kolkata commenced on Saturday, drawing an illustrious gathering of filmmakers and industry stalwarts. Among the distinguished guests gracing the occasion at Nandan were acclaimed director Anubhav Sinha, legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah, National Award-winning filmmaker Goutam Ghose, and celebrated actor Anasuya Sengupta.
Anubhav Sinha had the honor of inaugurating the festival, emphasizing its significance in fostering global cinematic exchange. Expressing his deep admiration for Kolkata’s artistic spirit, he lauded the city’s rich film culture, remarking, "I love Kolkata—the films, the food, the stories. The city is fortunate to host so many remarkable film festivals."
