MUMBAI: With a lot of announcements, one that garnered a lot of attention was the announcement of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ which is directed by Ranjan Chandel and stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna. The movie was initially announced to be released on 3rd May but the release date got postponed and will now release on 15th November.
The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan. The movie announcement made a wave amongst the audience. Mainly the curiosity about this movie was because of the casting and the story of the movie.

The makers released the much-awaited teaser in which they got to see how the movie is based on what took place in Sabarmati Express on 27 Feb 2002. Audience is curious to see what the story holds in store and also, Vikrant Massey fans are excited.
Today, the makers finally released the trailer of the movie which really got the hopes high. During the trailer launch, there were many revelations and interesting insights which we got to know. One of them was about Ekta Kapoor, Ridhi Dogra and Vikrant Massey talking about their struggles that they still face with the mark of being TV artists.
Ridhi Dogra said, "Ye jung hai, main toh lad hi rahi hu..."
As a producer, Ekta Kapoor opened up about this and said, "main toh bohot khush hu ke log mujhe kehte hai aapko filmein aati nahi hai. I say 'ha mujhe choti mediums itni nahi aati jitni badi mediums aati hai. Television is a much bigger...but I personally believe medium se zyada important hota hai content. Content acha ho toh chal jata hai. Entertainment, Entertainment, entertainment. Teeno jagah yehi kaam karta hai "
Vikrant Massey added to this and said, "Maine yeh kai baar kaha hai. Mujhe 12 saal ho gaye cinema mein kaam karte hue aur maine humesha yeh kaha hai ke jab maine shuruat ki thi toh ek perception tha, toh woh hai aur woh conditioning hai but meri jung humesha yeh rahi hai ki talent matter karna chahiye. Aap kahin se bhi aaye, aap koi bhi bhasha bole, aap kisi bhi platform se aaye. Agar aap talented hai toh aapko woh mauka milna chahiye...aur woh jung hai."
