MUMBAI: Shelley Duvall, the legendary actress most recognized for her praise worthy roles in movies like McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Popeye, and The Shining, has sadly passed away at the age of 75. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that complications from her diabetes caused her demise while she was sleeping.
Duvall had a prestigious career that included prominent appearances in Nashville, Popeye, and 3 Women. She was known for her distinct on-screen persona and her partnerships with filmmaker Robert Altman.

He was honored with the Best Actress prize at the Cannes Film Festival for her outstanding performance in the film 3 Women, which highlighted her exceptional talent. Her life partner of 29 years, Dan Gilroy, wrote on Facebook of his sadness: "My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us. Too much suffering lately, now she's free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley," read a statement that The Hollywood Reporter was able to receive.
In recent years, the actress had to deal with serious personal difficulties. She discussed her issues with mental health on a 2016 episode of Dr. Phil, saying, "I am extremely unwell. "I require assistance," The Hollywood Reporter said.
