MUMBAI : Waheeda Rehman, Helen, and veteran actors Asha Parekh have left Mumbai for a peaceful vacation in Srinagar. Parekh has been posting pictures from their vacation to her followers through her Instagram account.
Parekh was spotted having fun on a houseboat in one of her most recent postings. Rehman and Helen went with her. She shared the pictures on social media using a variety of hashtags, including "FriendsForEver," "FriendsLikeFamily," "Holiday," "FunTime," "BeautifulKashmir," "Nostalgia," and "MakingMemories."
Four days back, the 'Kati Patang' actor shared another photo from their vacation. In the same, Parekh, Waheeda Rehman and Helen were seen enjoying their food outside, amid lush greenery. Sharing the same, she wrote, "With my dear friends Helenji & Waheedaji in Srinagar".
The legendary actors have known each other for years now and are also great friends. In 2022, when Asha Parekh won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, she celebrated the honour with her friends, Waheeda Rehman and Helen. She wrote, "Celebration on winning of prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award with Helen and Waheeda (sic)."
In addition to being actors, Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh, and Helen are cultural icons whose contributions have influenced the direction of Indian cinema. Rehman is well-known for hits like ‘Pyaasa’ (1957), ‘Guide’ (1965), and ‘Neel Kamal’ (1968), but Parekh's performances in films like ‘Teesri Manzil’ (1966), ‘Kati Patang’ (1970), and ‘Caravan’(1971) had an impact on the audience. Helen became known as the 'Queen of Dance' in Bollywood and made a name for herself with her mesmerizing moves and enigmatic on-screen persona.
