Well-known Bollywood lyricists, Nasir Faraaz breathed his last on Sunday, 15th January 2023. This news was confirmed by well-known singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza.

MUMBAI  : One of the most well-known Bollywood lyricists, known for his Zindagi Do Pal Ki, Bajirao Mastani and more, is Nasir Faraaz. The lyricist breathed his last on Sunday, 15th January 2023. He was at his home in Mumbai when he suddenly suffered with chest pains. According to reports, he did not allow anyone to take him to the hospital, and later passed away at 6 pm. The lyricist was aged 86.

In a recent interaction with a media publication, well-known singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza confirmed the death of the lyricist and shared that he was suffering from a heart related illness. It was also reported that the late musician had undergone a surgery around seven years ago. Naza shared his condolences and even took to his Facebook handle and penned a heartfelt post about Nasir.

Sharing photos with the late lyricist, he captioned the post, “Aaj Nasir Faraaz Saheb humare beech nahi rahe ..Unki Pehchan Indian Film industry ke Maane hue Lyricists mein hoti hai, Mere Nasir Saheb se 12 Saal ki Shanasaayi thi , Humne Bajirao Mastani 2015 aur Haemolymph 2022 jaise films mein Ek saath yaadgar Kaam kiya ,Mere liye wo Ek buzurg hone ke Alawa mere Dost aur Hamdard bhi the .. Insaan ki Zindagi mein Kuch aisi Shakhsiyaat hoti hain jinse hum Ladhte Jhagadte bhi hain aur unke Rooth jaane se Hume Fark bhi padhta hai ..Meri Zindagi mein Nasir saheb un Shakhsiyaat mein se the .. Ye Humari Aakhri Tasveer hai  unke saath ..May His soul Rest in peace.”

For those who are unaware, Nasir Faraaz gave Bollywood some amazing songs, including ‘Dil Kyun Mera Shor Kare’, and ‘Zindagi Do Pal Ki’ from the Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kites’ which was released in 2010. He has even written many songs for films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Krrish’, ‘Kaabil’, and ‘Love At Time Square’.
 
Family and friends from the industry are mourning the loss of this wonderful person and excellent lyricist, and he has left behind a marvellous legacy. If the reports are to be believed, the lyricist’s funeral took place at Nalasopara cemetery in Mumbai, today on Monday.
