Why were Shashi Kapoor’s children rejected by the Hindi Film industry? THIS is what they are doing now

MUMBAI: Prithviraj Kapoor and Ramsarni Mehra Kapoor welcomed Shashi Kapoor into the world on March 18, 1938, as Balbir Raj Kapoor in Calcutta (now Kolkata). Shashi Kapoor, like his brothers Raj and Shammi Kapoor, dabbled in acting and is regarded as one of the best actors in Indian film history. Shashi Kapoor has a lengthy record of films where his acting has won over viewers. But if we were to choose a few of his best movies, they would be Dharmputra, The Householder, Waqt, Shakespeare Wallah, Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Deewar, Kabhi Kabhie, Junoon, Bombay Talkie, Heat and Dust, and a lot more. Not many people know that Shashi Kawas given a National Award following the enormous success of his Yash Chopra-directed movie Dharmputra.

When Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal tied the knot in July 1958, many people were taken aback by their multicultural union. On June 26, 1959, Shashi and Jennifer brought Kunal Kapoor into the world as their first son. When Jennifer gave birth to Karan Kapoor on January 18, 1962, the couple welcomed parenthood for the second time. Following the birth of their daughter Sanjana, Shashi and Jennifer's family came together on November 27, 1967. Sadly, Jennifer's colon cancer took her life on September 7, 1984, when she was 51 years old.

Sanjana Kapoor, Karan Kapoor, and Kunal Kapoor, the children of Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal, continued their father's legacy. But because of their appearances and acting abilities, the crowds turned away all three of them. Many sources claim that the British appearance and dialect of Kunal, Karan, and Sanjana seriously hampered their acting careers. They all three gave up acting soon after and pursued other careers; today, they are all prosperous and happy in their own right.

Kunal Kapoor, the eldest son of the iconic actor Shashi Kapoor, debuted as an actor in the English-language movie Siddartha. He contributed to several films in the years that followed, including Panipat, Utsav, Trikal, Ahista Ahista, Vijeta, Junoon, and Singh is Bling. He abandoned acting to pursue a career in commercial filmmaking, nevertheless, since he was unable to achieve success in his acting career. Kunal Kapoor directed over 800 television commercials after establishing "Ad Filmwalas," a firm dedicated to creating commercial films. At the moment, Kunal is among the biggest and most prosperous commercial filmmakers in the nation.
