A promising actress of the 90s is now pursuing the job of her dreams. Read on.

MUMBAI: Do you remember Mayuri Kango? She was seen opposite Jugal Hansraj in the 1996 film Papa Kehte Hai. 

She has appeared in many films including Naseem, Betaabi, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, among others. 

Mayuri Kango quit acting in 2009. She was last seen in a minor role in the Kareena Khan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Kurbaan and since then has been missing from the silver screen. And while Mayuri Kango may be away from the limelight, she sure has a fulfilling life where she is pursuing the job of her dreams.

The pretty lady entered films Saeed Akhtar Mirza directed 1995 film Naseem also starring Kaifi Azmi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Seema Kelkar among others. Soon after, Mahesh Bhatt offered her Papa Kehte Hai opposite Jugal Hansraj and she became a rage. Fans were in awe of her beauty and talent and she was hailed as one of the most promising actresses of the 90s. Mayuri also appeared in several television shows like Kaahin Kissii Roz, Dollar Bahu, Kittie Party, Kkusum, Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny. The last show she did was in 2004 titled Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat. 

Talking about her educational background, Mayuri Kango completed her schooling at Saint Francis De Sales Aurangabad and is an alumnus of Deogiri College, Aurangabad. After having tried her luck in films and television, Mayuri gradually started distancing herself from the entertainment industry. She did very few films and appeared in fewer TV shows. Later, Mayuri Kango married an NRI named Aditya Dhillon in December 2003, in Aurangabad. They had a son in 2011, Kiyaan. Mayuri later shifted to New York with her husband and got an MBA in marketing and finance from City University of New York-Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business. She worked as Managing Director for Performics for some years and in 2019 she started working as the Industry Head for Google India.
