What do you expect when one of the most sizzling pairs of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, come together? Romance, romance, and more romance. Isn’t it?
Well, the first song from Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale doesn’t disappoint. With picturesque backdrops, ranging from a wrecked plane, waterfalls to mountains and beach, the song captures the essence of love in an effortless fashion.
Gerua, which means orange, is supposed to be the color of love. If the scenery has you gaping, the lead pair will blow your mind away and then some. It looks like SRK-Kajol’s most famous outing, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge, was just yesterday. Because the two haven’t aged at all (AT ALL).
While Shah Rukh looks ripping at 50, Kajol has never looked this stunning in her entire career. In gorgeous saris and bohemian skirts, the powerhouse actress proves that she is made for the screen.
Her legendary pairing with SRK is even more pronounced in this romantic number as the two hug, caress, gaze and hold each other in the most loving way possible.
Considering it’s the coming together of our favourite onscreen jodi, Shetty has left no stone unturned in taking us back to their reigning era. Which basically means that there’s loads of slo-mo running, hugging and swaying and looking deep into each other’s eyes.
The contrast costume change, flowing of saree ka pallus and solo montages of the two would definitely remind you of their other hit ditty Suraj Hua Maddham from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
The styling and location may be very 2015, but the feel of the song screams 1995. May be that’s the effect Shetty was hoping for?
In any case, you’d be in for a major case of nostalgia after watching the video. Because it's dreamy, fairy tale-eseque and would make you wish for a partner too!
