Acting happened by chance - Rishina Kandhari

Rishina Kandhari is on cloud nine and why not? She is bagging every opportunity coming her way to explore her talent! Having acted in shows like Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Buddha, Savitri and episodic shows such as CID, Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol; Rishina has come a long way in her career, so much so that she even bagged a Bollywood movie Ek Villain. Talking about her experience in the industry she elaborated, “Acting happened to me by chance. It was not a conscious decision. I accompanied by cousin for a photoshoot where they clicked me too. I posted my pictures on Facebook and received audition calls.“ “All along my career, I have always opted for different kind of roles. I like experimenting and challenging myself which will bring an edge to my performance. Even in my current show Uttaran, I essay two shades, one being a poor and simple woman as Mouli and the other who is outright glamorous, Malvika.” Rishina feels blessed to have an opportunity of venturing into Bollywood. Post her stint in Ek Villain, she garnered quite a positive response from critics and the movie lovers as well. Parallel to her television projects, she is also trying her luck with 70mm projects. “I want to give my best be it television or films. I am thankful to my director Mohit Suri who made my character look fantastic. While Sidharth (Malhotra) is calm, Riteish (Deshmukh) is a prankster. They all made me feel very comfortable.” So is Rishina ready to take the big leap? She quipped, “I am approaching various production houses so let’s see what clicks. But I will not leave television for sure.” Well said Rishina!!!
