Indian Idol fame Anuj Sharma looks forward to becoming a successful playback singer

Anuj Sharma, the young lad from the small town of Himachal Pradesh struck ‘gold’ when he emerged in the top three of Indian Idol 2. Post the success of the reality show, Anuj has been busy performing in live shows. His first solo album titled Khwaab which released in 2010 has given him a great response and he is now looking forward to his next album. Says Anuj, “My album Khwaab was received very well. The rock and pop used in all the tracks were instant hits. The title track was much liked by all.” Anuj now plans to get back to TV; he also has an ambition of becoming a playback singer in films. “I am open to singing in TV. I would love to sing the title track for any show on television. I have sung for a movie Aisi Deewangi which has not yet released. I am presently working on my next album, but I cannot talk about it at the moment. I am working towards becoming a playback singer, and would love to lend voice to some big actors in Bollywood today.” On TV, Anuj will like to make an appearance in the upcoming season of Indian Idol. “There is a custom of ex-contestants being called in for auditions. I would like to get back to Indian Idol to audition the new breed of singers coming in.” Anuj in addition to being a singer, is a good cricket player. He has performed at more than 500 shows in India and other countries. We wish Anuj a great career ahead!!
