Anupriya Kapoor who is popularly known as Taani of Balaji’s Tere Liye talks to TellyChakkar about diet and fitness. Personal fitness mantra: Exercising and no short cuts. Personal diet mantra: I divide my meals into 6-7 small meals rather than eating heavy meals. Exercise routine: Twice a day for one hour each. Is food the elixir of life? Completely! Are you a foodie? I am a very big foodie. Are you a vegetarian or non-vegetarian? Non-Vegetarian. Favourite cuisine: Indian and Chinese Favourite dish: Aloo Puri and Chhole Bhature Favourite restaurant: There is a famous Kake Da Dhaba in Delhi. I just love the food there. A must on my breakfast table: Eggs. Sugar or sugar-free for my tea/coffee: I usually don’t intake sugar but when I do, its normal sugar only. Lunch generally consists of: I don’t have a proper lunch but a short meal between 12-4pm which consists of fruits and dry fruits along with juice. Dinner generally consists of: Eggs and Soup Dessert delights: Rassmalai One thing I can't resist: I can’t resist anything sweet, like halva or cookies etc. My favourite drink (non-alcoholic): Fresh juices, Sweet Lime My favourite drink (alcoholic): I don’t consume alcohol. Most unusual dish I've tasted: I ate a Thai dish ones in Delhi named Pathai, which I found very weird. Experiment with food: I don’t experiment with food. On the streets, I love to have: Aloo Chaat Do you cook? Yes. Favourite Recipe: Apple Ka Halva Ingredients: Grated apples, Sugar, Ghee, Powdered Almond and Cardamom Powder. Method: Peel the apples and grate them. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed (or non stick) pan. Add the grated apple and fry on a medium flame, till all the water is evaporated and it looks like cooked. It takes about 10mins or so. Now add the sugar. Here, the apple should be measured and equal volume of sugar should be added.
