The graceful and inspiring lady, Sudha Chandran has been missing from mainstream shows for quite some time now. And her latest venture, Naagin (Balaji Telefilms) on Colors, will surely be a pleasant gift for the fans of this power packed performer.
Recently at an event when we had the chance of chatting with the lady, she shared with us that all the while she has been missing working in Mumbai. “I was busy working in the regional industry and now that I am back here in Mumbai, I feel like coming back to my maiden home, which always makes one super happy. And the best part is being missed by the audience. Compliments such as they liked my performance or how glad they are to see me back on the small screen, are the biggest gifts coming from fans for any artist.”
So, how does it feel to be back to the Balaji camp? “My first association with Balaji, Kaahin Kissii Roz, happened during the worst phase of my life. At that time I was not much confident about how my character would shape up, as I was an antagonist. But Ekta had immense faith in the character and she convinced me that it would turn out to be one of the most prominent characters. And so it happened. Hence, when I received a call from them there was no second thought.”
We asked about her iconic role from Kaahin Kissii Roz, and Sudha said, “No doubt, that Ramola Sikkand from the daily went on to become an iconic role, but it is high time to break that image. One cannot continue with one image for too long. That character set a benchmark and now I hope with my role in Naagin, I will be able to take it to an all new level.”
We wish you luck for the same, Sudha.
