Zee TV’s Lajwanti (Trilogy Media Productions) will witness the huge highpoint of the lovers, Sunder (Sid Makkar) and Lajjo (Ankita Sharma) getting separated post the death of their entire family.
The tyranny of Sunder’s half brother Sarfaraz will result in the killing of Sunder’s family members. Post this, Sunder and Lajjo will board a train from Lahore to Amritsar, but in the process will dramatically part ways. While Sunder will reach India, Lajjo will get stranded in Peshawar.
And with this, actors Sid Makkar and Ankita Sharma who had been shooting together for the past six months will also separate…
Wondering why we are saying so? Well, the reason is that from now on, Lajwanti will work under two separate units. While all other actors will continue to shoot in the present location, Ankita will move to the new location created for the upcoming track. And this will bring a halt to Sid and Ankita meeting each other on set.
We at Tellychakkar.com decided to call the lead actors to know how they thought about this proposition of shooting away from each other.
Sid who has been shooting along with the entire unit without any decent break even for sleep for over two weeks now, said, “Well, it’s all for the good. Hopefully if we have two units functioning, we will get some sleep and rest. Having said this, it will be really upsetting to not shoot with Ankita. We have worked things together, and have shot nearly 60 – 70 percent of our scenes together till now. So yes, working away from her will be a bit difficult. But thinking of the positives, I am really excited about the upcoming track as viewers will see a different Sunder, a guy who will be desperate to unite with his lover. We are working really hard, and hope we strike the right chord with the audiences.”
When we quizzed Ankita the same question, she too echoed the same feelings. “I have not got time yet to think about this. Guess this fact will dawn on me in few days time, when I will move to an entirely new unit. I will definitely miss everyone, starting from the light man to the spot boy, technicians and of course Sid. I have a great bonding with Sid and will miss the good time with him. We have been shooting together from day one, and to not find him shooting with you one fine day will indeed be sad. On the other hand, I really look forward to the progression in story, as the track ahead will see a transformation in Lajjo.”
Again, touching the positive chord, Sid averred, “If even a percent of me missing Ankita off screen comes across on-screen, I think it will be a win-win situation (laughs).”
Sid and Ankita, we hope you get back shooting together soon…
