People love to hate her but they dare not ignore her. As the shrewd and cunning Poulomi in her last show, Santoshi Maa, Sayantani Ghosh definitely gave a serious competition to negative characters currently ruling the small screen.
Shows like Naaginn, Bigg Boss 6, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar, Sasural Simar Ka to her credits Sayantani has gained immense popularity. The actress says that negative characters are multi-dimensional.
“I have played positive and negative characters on TV but I feel grey shade has more dimensions and challenges. There is more variety to portray a negative character then positive. Whenever I take up any show, I see whether it is challenging or not and also better than my previous role,” said the actress.
When asked about the supernatural trend which started from her show Naaginn and the current scenario, she shared, “These concepts have always worked on TV. These fantasy shows impress audience a lot. Now, the drama is more advanced and attractive.”
