What were your thoughts when this role was offered to you?

I was shortlisted for some other shows as well when I was offered this show. But by the grace of God, I bagged this one. I had a meeting with our producer Guru ji. I was in my clean shave look back then. He gave me the character brief and told me about how he wants to see Amol on-screen. He made me meet everyone and it was wonderful.

Tell us about your character Amol.

Amol is one such character who is extremely manipulative and he can do anything for his own benefit. He is also the biggest womanizer in the show. Amol has a contract marriage with a woman called Teetiksha and she only married him for a child. So, both of them have a conflict of interest as she is a very truthful person while Amol is very evil. Amol is a bit psycho but he is only good to his daughter in the show because he loves her immensely. And I am always encouraging my daughter to be on the egoistic side like I am.

You play a father to a girl child. How is the experience working with the child?

I love kids and I was very happy to know that I am playing a father to a 5 to 6 year old child. I don't have to put much effort when I do scenes with her. There are a majority of kids in our show. Sometimes kids are stuck and they aren't able to deliver the right emotion but our director is there to help them. Guru sir is also monitoring the show very closely. They make sure that it's done properly.
