MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone is currently riding high on her success. After the streak of success, the actress is yet bringing a set of other interesting movies in her kitty. As per sources, it seems that Deepika will be teaming up with Karan Johar for her next, to be directed by Shakun Batra.
The movie revolves around two couples and their marital problems. While Deepika is one of their female lead, the search is on for the male lead opposite her. It seems that the makers are planning to rope in Vicky Kaushal or Siddhant Chaturvedi for the role but still the final decision as to be made.
It will be interesting to see who bags the role to star opposite Deepika Padukone. In any case, we will be seeing a fresh new pairing as neither of them has worked with her in the past.
Earlier, reports were rife that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had approached Vicky Kaushal for the role of Rawal Ratan Singh in ‘Padmaavat’ which was later played by Shahid Kapoor.
According to reports, Deepika had refused to work with Vicky as he was not a big name then. Now, that Vicky has proved his mettle with his brilliant performances beyond doubt, it would be interesting to see if Deepika will work with Vicky this time around.
