Madhuri and Lata make their debut appearance

The occasion was Star Voice of India and it was only befitting that stars and legends graced the occasion. For the first time ever, the Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar appeared on a reality show on Indian television. It was a double whammy as Bollywood’s ‘dhak dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit too made her maiden reality show appearance at the grand finale. The large audience was waiting with bated breath to catch a glimpse of both these Bollywood divas. And the audience wasn’t disappointed. Madhuri enthralled all not with just with her dancing but also with her singing. After a bit of dancing on stage, Madhuri amused all by singing the title track of her forthcoming film Aaja Nachle. Expectedly, the audience erupted in joy. It was a moment of pride for the female contestants of VOI to perform alongside Madhuri. Thereafter, it was living legend Lata Mangeshkar who took center stage. Lataji came up on stage to gift diamond- studded, self-designed gold watches to the two finalists. Harshit, the finalist said that this was the biggest moment in his life as he was given the opportunity to perform before Lataji. Lataji then declared the winner. In the earlier episodes of Voice of India Bollywood stars such as Rani Mukherjee, Deepika Padukone, Rishi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor have also made appearances. For the two finalists and other contestants of VOI it truly was a memorable moment. After receiving the watch from Lataji, Ishmeet said, “This is my most cherished prize. Nothing can match up to this, not even the VOI title.” With the presence of such big personalities it was an event one can’t forget in a hurry.
