MUMBAI: Kabir Singh had hit the big screens last year, and despite opening to a lot of criticism, the film turned out to be a blockbuster. According to a section of people, Kabir Singh endorsed misogyny and relationship abuse. But Shahid Kapoor's rugged performance and transformation as Kabir Singh was spectacular, and the actor received a lot of praises for the same. However, he didn't win any award for it, and a lot of his fans had bashed award shows because of this.
Now, during a recent QnA session on Twitter, Shahid was asked if whether he was disappointed over not getting any award for Kabir Singh because of the controversies around it. The actor gave the perfect response.

A fan wrote, 'Do you feel disappointed that your Kabir Singh performance wasn't appreciated by the awards ceremonies because of the controversy surrounding it?'
Shahid wrote, 'On the contrary. I can’t be thankful enough for the love you all have. I am because of you all.'
