Balaji Motion Pictures, had taken a big pun on the critics by taking out a full page add in a Mumbai paper in which they have written what critics have mentioned about the film.” When pushed on the same, Ekta said, “These critics were very vocal about how much they hated the film. We just gave them one chance to express what they feel. We are giving utmost respect to each comment. Next time we might change, but this time, these boys Tusshar, Riteish and director Sachin Yardi were as shameless as part one. ” Detailing about the comparisons of the press with the first part, she averred, “Even Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was most criticized, yet it never looked back on it ratings. KyaKool Hai Hum was also panned when it was released seven years ago, but the film was on a smaller canvas so when you get bigger, you get all kinds of responses. Whenever you make a sequel, it is bound to be compared with the original.” The business woman in Ekta is quite sharp and after the blow she got from the Censor Board regarding the telecast of The Dirty Picture on a satellite channel, she has got alternate plans in mind. “We have thought about alternate scenes for TV broadcast and will re-present the film for certification.” Finally, we asked Ekta, would the success of The Dirty Picture, Ragini MMS and Kya Super Cool Hain Hum make TV take a back seat for her,“I will never quit the small screen, which is my bread and butter. Films are like jam that is too fattening to have daily. Now for the next six months, my office will only talk about soaps.” Way to go…Ekta!!!
