Happy to work again after the lockdown: Rudra Kaushish

MUMBAI: Actor Rudra Kaushish has been a part of the entertainment industry for more than a decade now. He has seen varied aspects of the same - from being an actor working in smaller roles to being a producer now. Rudra was last seen in 'Dadi Amma Dadi Amma...Maan Jao' and the fans were waiting for him to return to the small screen in some new series. Weel, 2021 got some good news for them with the actor joining the cast of 'Teri Laadli Main' on Star Bharat.

Talking about getting back on the sets and working in the new normal, he says, “I feel blessed, God has been kind! I resumed on the same set after 10 months where I gave my last shot just before the COVID-19 pandemic took over the world. The show has changed, but the set is the same. Earlier, I was shooting for 'Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jaao' and now, it is 'Teri Laadli Main'. Working in the new normal is different, we see lesser people on the sets compared to earlier. Also, everyone wearing a mask, PPE kit, etc. For the initial few days, it was difficult to recognise people wearing masks, however, now slowly we have got used to it and can identify people on the sets.”

Actor-Producer Rudra Kaushish served in the CRPF for 12 years before discovering his calling for the entertainment industry. "I am playing the role of a rich father of the female lead in the show. The character is a positive one - full of optimism. However, we all know that characters in daily soaps are moulded as per the audience’s reactions. So, I am open to experimenting and exploring at this stage. In my last daily soap, I was essaying the character of a poor father which is quite opposite from the current character” said Rudra as he signed off for the moment.
