Gurpreet Singh aka Sujal of Kahiin To Hoga shares fond memories from the show, reveals he is in talks as lead for a show, shares his thoughts on the COVID spike

Gurpreet talks about his memories of Kahiin To Hoga and his upcoming project.

MUMBAI: Gurpreet Singh is a well-known actor of television. He is best known for playing the role of Sujal in Star Plus most successful show Kahiin To Hoga.

After that, he was seen in shows like Saarthi, Durgesh Nandini, Maayka, Rangrasiya, Mahabharata, and Porus. He has also featured in a movie down South. Subsequently, he was on a break owing to a personal crisis.

Let's rewind a bit. The role of Sujal was initially played by Rajeev Khandelwal, who left the show mid-way. That was when Gurpreet stepped into his shoes, which must have felt like a huge responsibility.

Team TellyChakkar got in touch with Gurpreet and asked him about his fond memories from the show, to which the actor said that he remembers the Kahiin To Hoga days and misses them.

He further said that the set was like home and the cast felt like family. He has many memories from his first day of shoot with actress Anju Mahendru, scenes with Aamna Sharif, and all the off-screen masti with the actors on sets.

Gurpreet also said that he was upset and went blank when he got to know that in February 2007 the show was going off air.

When asked about the spike in COVID cases and how it affects the entertainment industry, he quoted saying that he salutes all the people (actors and everyone in the units) who are shooting at this time. "Everyone needs to be careful and follow all measures for safety during the shoot and I am sure the actors and unit people are following it. There is a famous line that 'The show must go on'. The entertainment industry must keep working in this time because people need to be entertained and get free from stress in this stressful time. I pray that this covid time ends and everything become normal for everyone. I wish the pandemic gets over as soon as possible."

At the end, when we asked him about his upcoming projects, the actor said that he is available for work now and he is wanting to do a meaty role. He also said that talks are on for a lead in a show, but he can’t give more details right now.

Well, there is no doubt that the character is iconic and that the audiences miss watching Sujal on-screen.
