The commission has received a complaint from an organisation in Maharashtra over the trailer of the film. NCW chief Rekha Sharma has written a letter to the Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to censor the bold and sexually explicit scenes in the film's trailer.
A copy of the letter has also been sent to the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Prasoon Joshi.
A complaint was made to the NCW on behalf of the Bharatiya Stree Shakti regarding the trailer of this film.
In the complaint, it was alleged that the trailer of the film, which was released on January 10, 2022, showed objectionable scenes and obscenity related to women.
The case was registered at the Mahim Police Station on orders of a local court under relevant sections of the IPC, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Information Technology Act, an official said.
Following which the court ordered a probe in the matter, the official said.
"We have registered an FIR on the order of the court and our investigation was underway," he said.
