MUMBAI:Barun Sobti and Arshad Warsi starrer Asur season 2 is one of the most awaited OTT series. The series also stars Gaurav Arora in a pivotal role and he is seen playing the character of Kesar Bharadwaj in it.

How excited or nervous are you for Asur 2?
I am actually pretty excited. I believe that we really have a good product in our hands. This nervousness is good though, I am waiting how the audience reacts to it.
What will be your character graph in season 2?
Not just my character graph, but the entire show is going to be at least 50 notches higher than what audience saw in season 1 in terms of production value, scale, the writing, the treatment of the show and of course, the character graph. It’s going to be a lot more brutal, more chaotic and a lot more mysterious. You will also see a different side of Kesar.
Fans on social media always used to comment and tweet about the release of season 2 of Asur as the wait has been quite long. So, how did you handle this question?
To be honest, not even one day has gone by where I haven’t received a message from someone asking me about when Asur 2 would be releasing. I know that there has been a delay; we were dealing with a pandemic when we were supposed to go on floors. Later, the second wave hit us and the show was delayed by 6-7 months again. But, I also have to tell you the loyalty of the fans towards Asur is intact. The day we started shooting, the amount of messages and love that we received was insane and it continues till date.
Asur 2 will start streaming on Jio Cinema from 1st June 2023.
