MUMBAI: Actor Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, who was supposed to star in "Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2," has now revealed her reasons for opting out of the movie. In case you missed it, Nimrit had begun reading aloud to the team just after 'Bigg Boss 16.' Fans were surprised to see the actor absent in the first look when it was released.
It was then disclosed that she had walked out of the movie because of its bold content. Dibakar Banerjee already gave the popular news portal his version of facts. Nimrit explained what went wrong during the 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 14' promotional events.
Without opening up much about the deal falling flat, the 'Choti Sarrdaarni' actor mentioned how she believes in destiny and maybe 'LSD 2' was not meant for her. "There's nothing more to say. I have immense respect for Ekta ma'am, and I will forever be grateful to her for offering me the film," Nimrit said.
When asked about her discussion with Ekta Kapoor and why her decision to move out was so discreet, the actor said, "It's not that I don't want to talk about it. I just don't believe in dwelling in the past. Also, I genuinely believe in destiny. Maybe this film wasn't meant for me. I didn't even want to do ‘Bigg Boss’, but everything conspired for me to be a part of it. I respect her [Ekta Kapoor], and Dibakar sir. Maybe we will collaborate again soon, I am here only."
Talking about taking up ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia shared that the opportunity came last year, but she believes in keeping things fresh. She decided to take a break after ‘Bigg Boss 16’, to revamp herself, and now is excited to get on this adventurous ride.
The actor even shocked her fans by getting slimmer right before her flight to "KKK 14." when asked if she felt pressured of being a certain size because of that she lost so much weight she said. , “Honestly, I have always been thin, people just forgot about it. Post ‘Bigg Boss’, I had so much water weight because of my hormonal issues, which I lost. I have always worked out and maintained my fitness.”
“However, people are often so judgemental about your shape and size. But I was conscious, I would have never done ‘Bigg Boss’ when I was that size. I am proud of my body and my weighing scale will never define me or state my self-worth. I just inculcated better eating habits and started taking care of myself, which I think everyone should do irrespective of which profession we are in,” she added.
Next week, 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 14' filming will get underway. By the end of July, it should be broadcast.
