MUMBAI : Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is set to tie the knot with her longtime partner Zaheer Iqbal after dating for seven years. On June 23, there will be a wedding and a reception party at Bastian in Mumbai. Sonakshi's mama Pahlaj Nihalani, who has been friends with Shatrughan Sinha since 1977 and is very close to the Sinha family, has shared details about the actress's upcoming wedding.
In an interview with the popular news portal, Nihalani shared best wishes for Sonakshi and Zaheer and announced that he would be there at the wedding. “I’m Sonakshi’s mama. All my blessings to her and Zaheer. They are finally getting married. I send them all my good wishes.”
When asked if he knew Sonakshi and Zaheer would get married, Nihalani said, “Naturally, these days children take their own decisions; so parents should be happy. A couple has to live the married life and that’s the main thing. They should love and be comfortable with each other.”
Another close family friend of the Sinhas, veteran actress Poonam Dhillon, said that Sonakshi sent a “lovely wedding invite” to her and she was looking forward to attending the Heeramandi star’s special day later this month.
“I wish Sonakshi all the very best,” Poonam told the popular news portal. “Boht pyara invite bheja hai usne. I have known her since she was a little girl, uski poori journey dekhi hai toh bhagwaan kare boht khush rahe. She is a lovely, warm, very loving girl toh I wish her all the joy and happiness. (She has sent a very beautiful invite. I have known her since she was a child and I have seen her entire journey. So, I wish her all the happiness.)”
Shatrughan Sinha spoke out about his daughter's wedding a few hours after Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding invitation was leaked online. The politician-actor made it clear that he wasn't confirming or denying the reports of her marriage. However, he will be a happy father if and when it does happen. He added that the family will support her decision no matter who she decides to marry.
