Shah Rukh Khan heads to Switzerland for Locarno Film Festival Award, ignores paparazzi attention!

MUMBAI: As Shah Rukh Khan left for Switzerland on Thursday night, he was photographed by paparazzi at the airport in Mumbai. Social media users saw SRK getting out of his car and making his way to the airport's entrance gate in a video that went viral.

He was wearing blue jeans and an orange jacket over a white T-shirt. The Bollywood actor, looking as smart as ever, accessorized his appearance with black goggles. The actor did not stop to pose for the cameras, avoiding the shutterbugs while they continued to applaud SRK.

Shah Rukh Khan is visiting Switzerland to attend the Locarno Film Festival. He will be honored with its Honorary Leopard Achievement Award. The award will pay tribute to his remarkable career in the Indian cinema consisting of more than 100 films in a breathtaking multitude of genres.

He will receive the award on the evening of Saturday, August 10 at Piazza Grande. In addition, a key film from Khan’s career – Devdas (Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 2002) will be screened during the Festival, and SRK will appear at the Forum @Spazio Cinema for a conversation open to the public on Sunday, August 11.

In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan dominated the box office with three immensely popular films: Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki. January 2023 saw the release of Pathaan.  Shah Rukh Khan made an impressive return with the movie after four years away from the big screen. John Abraham and Deepika Padukone both had significant parts in it.

On the other hand, Jawan was released in September of 2023. Along with Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, and Ridhi Dogra were also featured. With an astounding Rs 643 Cr. net collection in India across all languages, it became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever.

Shah Rukh Khan made his cinematic comeback in December 2023 with Dunki, his first film helmed by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, following the two massive hits. Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu also had significant parts in the movie.

The film's basis traces the thrilling adventure of individuals who opt for the unique Donkey Flight route, highlighting the challenges they encounter along the way.

Subsequently, SRK is presently filming King, which will be released soon.
