MUMBAI : Saif Ali Khan is a well-known figure in the Hindi film industry. Before, he wed Amrita Singh, with whom he had two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. But the pair quickly called it quits on a bad note. Afterwards, Saif and Kareena Kapoor married for the second time, and the two are now proud parents to Taimur and Jehangir Ali Khan, two sons.
When Amrita Singh appeared on an episode of Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, she was questioned if she thought that filming in outdoor settings was risky. In response, she expressed uncertainty about it. Subsequently, Simi inquired of Amrita whether she had ever gone with Saif Ali Khan on his outdoor photo shoots. She responded by telling the women that they should quit believing that having a guard dog would have prevented their husbands from cheating on them.
She said, “Are you trying to tell me that if you are there all the time, nothing could have happened. Please, I mean. you know.. We can't fool ourselves, women have to stop fooling themselves. If you seriously believe that being a guard dog can stop you.”
Amrita went on to say that it is insulting for a woman to protect her husband and believe that he won't cheat on her with another woman. A man will not cheat in front of his wife, but it doesn't mean he wouldn't do it behind her back, she added.
Amrita said, “It's no fun. I mean how demeaning it is for you as a woman to be doing that. I think it is very demeaning to be sitting at the location and saying 'So is he or is he not?' Oh he's not because I am here, I mean that's even worse. If that has to be it, then I know it sounds awful but that's it then.”
On them having fights, Amrita said, “We’ve had our problems, we’ve had our fights. I think it’s normal for a woman to feel insecure. I cried and fought, did normal things that any woman wanted to do. I wanted to bash Saif’s head with a frying pan.”
Sharing about his rapport with Ex-wife Amrita, Saif recently said, “Things changed but she was a wonderful support. She is mother to two of my kids and I share a very good relation with her. It’s always respect. It's always bad when things don't work well, especially for the kids, something that you don’t want for them but unfortunately it happens.”
