MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Rana Daggubati attended the IIFA 2024 pre-event press conference on Tuesday, September 10, in Mumbai. On social media, several footage from the event have surfaced, but the one that really grabbed our attention was when Rana touched SRK and KJo's feet while greeting them on stage.
The three of them showed off their pleasant bond. A joke about how the "new generation" touches an older person's foot can be seen in the video, which is currently making the rounds on social media.
Later, Rana is seen being welcomed on stage by the superstar and Karan. The Baahubali star hugged Shah Rukh and then gave him a soft kiss on the neck. Rana gave them a hearty hug and, as a sign of respect, touched their feet.
"We are fully South Indian. That's how we do it," Rana said. His impressive gesture was met with loud cheers from the audience and it also left netizens in awe.
At the function, Rana also thanked Shah Rukh and recalled an occasion when he went to an after-party at his house Mannat.
It should be noted that during the press conference, Shah Rukh shocked his fans with his new look. He wore a casual all-black outfit and had short hair.
Soon, Shah Rukh, Karan, Rana, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Abhishek Banerjee will host the esteemed award event in Abu Dhabi. Celebrities from Bollywood including Rekha, Janhvi Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon will entertain the crowd.
Yas Island will host the event from September 27 to September 29.
