MUMBAI: The director of the historical epic Tanhaji, Om Raut, has praised the recently released movie Chhaava and called it a proud moment for Indian cinema. According to Raut, whose hugely successful film Tanhaji, Chhaava not only honours the Maratha monarch but also improves the way Indian cinema depicts history.
"Chhaava is an experience rather than merely a movie. You are transported to the centre of Maratha history by the story, magnitude, and imagery. Raut praised director Laxman Utekar, saying, "It's a proud moment for Indian cinema to see such stories being told with so much passion and dedication."
