Shilpa Shinde kicked about her role in SAB TV's Lapataganj-Ek Baar Phir

Shilpa Shinde, who recently quit Life OK’s ill-fated show Do Dil Ek Jaan, will be soon making a comeback on the small screen again. Yes, this talented actress will be making an entry in Lapataganj-Ek Baar Phir, the popular SAB TV show soon. “I will start shooting for this show in the next few days. In this show, I play a Catholic school teacher named Mary who will be shown living as a paying guest in the house of Mukundilal and Indumati,” Shilpa reveals. “One of the main reasons for saying ‘yes’ to the show was that I have always liked the comedy genre. It is a refreshing change to be able to wear every day outfits like frocks and western dresses in a daily show,” she avers. Incidentally, Shilpa walking out of Do Dill Ek Jaan is not her first such act. In fact, she had walked out of Garima Productions’ other SAB TV show Chidiya Ghar last year. Yet she is working with the same team once more. Citing the reasons the actress observes, “Yes I had some differences with the creative team when I felt that the character of Gadha Prasad (Jitu Shivhare) was being given too much of importance. A show does not run only on the merits of one person.” “The very fact that I am back in one of their (Garima Productions) shows is that I was not wrong then. Back then, some people had even gone to the extent of spreading rumours that I hadn’t quit but was given the sack. Any ways all is well that ends well,” she concludes. We wish her all the luck!!!
