MUMBAI : During the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, there was a stampede which caused the death of a woman and her son was hospitalized in a critical state. The police had filed a case against the Sandhya Theatre management, along with the actor and his security team. According to an officer, the police were not informed earlier that the movie’s team would be arriving at the premiere.
Things took a deep turn when Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad Police in connection with the stampede.
The news created a storm online with many fans unhappy with the arrest, stating that the stampede wasn't the superstar's fault.
Allu Arjun made headlines all day due to the incident and his arrest. The actor also revealed that he had no issue with the action that the police took but he was not okay with them coming to his bedroom to arrest him. At one point, the husband of the victim came forth and said that he holds no grudges against Allu Arjun and that the stampede wasn’t his fault.
The next day, Allu Arjun got bail after spending a night in jail. After finally returning home, we got to witness an emotional moment between him and his wife Sneha where they hugged tightly. Today morning, Allu Arjun shared an emotional post for the child who is still struggling for life in hospital. The actor expressed how he cannot meet the family now due to legal proceedings but he wishes a speedy recovery and is also there for the family to help them financially.
