Madhur Bhandarkar
It is already out that Karan Johar has been signed by Dharma Productions for one of its upcoming ventures that is to be directed by Punit Malhotra who had earlier helmed I Hate Luv Storys.
But there was a small impediment; the film’s title Gutka was registered under the name of Madhur Bhandarkar. It was only after producer Karan Johar spoke to Bhandarkar regarding the same, the former readily transferred the title on his name. With the glitch out, Johar is all set to start pre-production of the film that would be a two-hero project.

Arjun Rampal is today in a very confident space. Gone are the days when Aishwarya Rai lorded over her home production Dil Ka Rishta while Arjun had to play the sleeping partner.
He ensured himself a proper place in the publicity campaign of <em>Heroine</em>.

<strong>Starring: Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Shahana Goswami, Ranveer Shorey, Govind Namdeo</strong>
<strong>Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar</strong>
<strong>Rating: ****<strong>
Somewhere deep within the corroding flamboyance of filmdom there is a tale of heartbreaking compromises and immorality tucked away from the naked tearless eye. Madhur Bhandarkar nearly gets to the nerve centre of that world, and then pulls back just before he’s really gotten to the centre.

Insiders know that Madhur Bhandarkar is infatuated by the word jalwa that now seems to be the most common words in the director’s vocabulary.
Having first started usage of the word in the song '<em>Fashion Ka Jalwa</em>' in the Priyanka Chopra starrer-<em>Fashion</em>, Bhandarkar has used the word in the Kareena Kapoor-starrer <em>Heroine</em>.

It’s victory time for the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). Though the producers UTV of Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine have approached the Mumbai High Court to protest against the new policy of a statutory-warning ticker whenever a smoking sequence is shown, the CBFC on Friday, passed the film with an ‘A’ certificate, with a clause that a statutory warning should be displayed in every scene showing Kareena Kapoor smoking in the film.

Madhur Bhandarkar and UTV Motion Pictures’ upcoming Kareena Kapoor-starrer Heroine has run into trouble in the Middle East. The damage has been done by the first promo of the film in which Kareena, accusing the media of holding preconceived notions about actresses, says, "Heroine ne gaadi li toh business man ne gift kiya... aur God forbid Dubai gayi, toh uska rate card ban jaata hai”
