It is the first ever dance show on Indian television that spans across generations. Three generations from one family come together and battle it out to be recipients of the <em> ‘Rock-N-Roll Family’</em>. This show will be replacing <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa</em>in the weekend slot.

One is yet to get over from the hang over of <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa</em> 2007 Challenge but Zee TV is adamant on keeping the vibe alive. The Channel has announced another fresh series of <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 'Lil Champs"</em> with twenty eight new young children within the age group of 7 to 14 years. These little talents will be singing to a live band on the show.

When on stage, they compete like fierce tigers but off it they are the best of friends. This camaraderie between our <em> Sa Re GA Ma Pa </em>contestants was reflected on Wednesday when the Muslim trio of Raja Hasan, Amanat Ali, and Junaid Sheikh hosted an iftar (party) for their Hindu colleagues (Sumedha, Mauli and Aneek) in the holy month of Ramzan.

She was touted as India's Shakira, but failed to please the junta for votes in <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Challenge 2007</em>. American desi Mauli Dave was eliminated from the <em> pratham yudh</em> last night. It wasn't the result but the timing of it that took her by surprise. The graceful performer, with a never say die attitude says, "I sang poorly, but people still voted for me. In the last few weeks, I did extremely well but they've now eliminated me. It does hurt a bit. However, I'm going out on a positive note."

The drama in Zee's <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa</em> just keeps getting more and more dramatic. Squabbling judges are a regular feature but a host doubling up as a judge isn't a common sight. Well, not only did Aditya Narayan perform dual duties on the show, the charming host's blooming ties with contestant Mouli Dave were put under the scanner by the incorrigible Himesh Reshammaiya.

Oftentimes, when the judges on Star's <em> Voice of India</em> have emotional tiffs on the show, the long haired bubbly Shaan plays the sutradhar. Flashing his 100 watts smile, the cute anchor says, "all along, my smile has always been a cover up for all kinds of uncomfortable situations. Years back, when I started anchoring <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa,</em> it was a real tough job. I couldn't even say a single line; even then it was my smile which saved me."

The Zee-Star war is officially out in the open; Shaan quit anchoring <em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa</em> to join a panel of judges on <em> Star's Voice of India Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa</em>. The most obvious question now is; who will step into Shaan's shoes? The buzz goes that Zee has approached Babul of <em> Kaho Na Pyaar Hai</em> fame and Aditya Narayan of<em> Rangeela</em>fame. The first is a seasoned singer with a couple of albums to his credit and the other is a novice with a promising future.

Versatility comes naturally to this actor from Allahabad. Flamboyance personified, he has the verve to don new roles. With a string of successes behind him, Pawan Shankar<em> aka</em> Karan Sablok of<em> Kasamh Se</em> fame has added another feather in his cap. Now, from acting he has taken the leap to hosting. The Zee Night show held in Singapore was anchored by him. Following the trend, he had donned the role of his character Karan Sablok from his show<em> Kasamh Se</em> on Zee TV instead of being Pawan Shankar as the host.

Twinkle Bajpai's claim to fame has been<em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge </em> and with Zee TV's <em> Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan </em>she surely has struck gold. The singer- turned actor harbored dreams of making it big in the glamour world and post <em>Sa Re Ga Ma… </em>she decided to take to acting. In <em>Betiyaan </em> she plays the youngest daughter (Lakshmi) the unwanted girl child in the house but grows up to be a strong willed woman who stands up for all the women in the house.

Zee TV's premier music programme,<em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa</em> has announced Rs.30 lakhs as prize money for the winners of<em> Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs.</em> The winner will get Rs.15 lakhs, the first runner up will get Rs.10 lakhs while the second runner up will get Rs.5 lakhs. This scholarship money will be deposited in an account that will be accessible by the winners on attaining the age of 18 years.
