Today is the day to go all clickety click. After all, today is the World Photography Day. As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words and some of your favourite TV stars are speaking oodles via their spellbinding photography.
There is no dearth of talent in the TV space and there are some hunks who apart from being super performers are also expressive photographers. On this special day, Tellychakkar.com spoke to some of them and they shared their passion and interesting snippets on photography.

Seven years back, I don’t know how, but photography seamlessly entered my life, changing it forever. I remember going for an exhibition where the star photographer was Henri Cartier-Bresson. As I was passing by all the pictures, one of his clicks caught my attention. I was left spell bound and that’s when my journey with photography began. Initially, I started shooting with my cellphone but later got hooked to Nikon cameras. Interestingly I am back with shooting with my phone as I feel it is a really powerful weapon. I have two Instagram accounts, one dedicated for my photography and the other one is personal, although the personal one has more pictures of my co-stars than mine. I love clicking my co-stars and I feel they are the best muse. There was a chance when I could have captured a super shot, but sadly the moment passed, and I would regret that all my life.I once saw a woman decked in a burqa crossing the road, with her two teenage daughters dressed in the shortest of hotpants. What a composition that could have been, but alas!

My first camera was Sony Alpha 2. After mobile phones caught rage I started clicking randomly and enjoyed a lot. That’s how I started my stint with photography. In my every photo shoot one picture is very special, which I treasure. Given a chance, I would like to click Krystle, Mouni and Sanjeeda.

I started taking pictures on a reel camera: Chinon and soon I bought the very famous Canon rebel. Photography started as a fascination pertaining to the technical part of photography. I was fascinated how different lenses and lighting techniques could make the same subject look different. Later, I started exploring my creativity and started photographing faces, landscapes and nature. The picture that I cherish is the series of photographs which shows journey of water drop before it hits the surface of water, during collision and aftermath. I made a setup for this with proper lighting and took numerous shots. I titled it "time warp”, which shows the ephemeral phenomena which is too fast for our senses to perceive. I like photographing faces, interesting faces, animals, snakes and landscapes. I like women with dusky or good tanned skin and Deepika Padukone is just perfect so I would like to click her through my lenses.

My first camera was Canon 550D. Being in front and behind the camera has always been my passion. It was just a matter of time and opportunity for me to pursue my passion. For me photography is about clicking the wild. On my first trip to the jungle, I didn’t even have a camera with me. And the pictures of wild animals always used to fascinate me. I used to think will I be able to click such pictures some day? I bought my first camera and started travelling to jungles. That is how it all started with the basic camera equipment. I love clicking the wildlife. I cherish this one picture because it looks like a painting (check above).

Canon 550D was my first camera. I started photography out of boredom and curiosity. I was always fascinated towards gadgets. I had every possible electronic item so I tried to explore something new with photography. Avika Gor, Nishigandha Wad and Jayati Bhatia were my experimental pieces. I like every genre and want to try everything. Avika picture that I clicked was my personal favourite and my first creation. For that picture, Avika stole set’s glycerine bottle. It was super funny moment. I once spoke to Nia Sharma at an award function and told her that I wanted to click you. It should happen soon.

Frankly speaking, I always liked to click rather than getting clicked. I used to click with my mobile phone and the real reason why I got so hooked on to photography was my first camera gifted to me by my wife as a wedding gift and that’s when it became my passion. My first camera was Canon 60d and I still own it. I use it as I feel it's always been lucky for m and it's very close to my heart. I like to shoot candid more than poses and capture all kind of emotions. If my click makes my subject looks good and brings out the closest real side of him , my job is done. My most memorable moment in photography was I was clicking inside a tiger cage with three tigers in it and then there was a tiger which was approaching me from behind. I never realised until the guard over there came in fraction of a second and pulled me out of it, that was Life of Pie moment.
Happy World Photography Day!!
