MUMBAI: IPL 2025 hasn’t begun yet but the fever is on and fans cannot wait for the first match tomorrow (22nd March). KKR vs RCB are going to commence the season with their first match of the season. There are reports that the match might get postponed as it is raining in Kolkata.
If things go as scheduled, we will get to watch KKR vs RCB tomorrow and on Sunday, it will be RR vs SRH.

Talking about Rajasthan Royal (RR), Sanju Samson was reportedly getting better with his finger injury but won’t be the captain for the first three matches. Instead, it will be Riyan Parag taking the lead while Sanju Samson heals completely.
Although Sanju Samson is taking time, he will be part of the first three matches but only as a batter and fielder, not as a wicketkeeper. Dhruv Jurel will take his place behind the stumps. Earlier, in the fifth T20I against England, Jurel had also kept wicket in place of Samson after he was hit on the finger by a Jofra Archer delivery while batting.
"I'm not completely fit for three or more games," Samson said in a video posted by the official RR handle on Instagram. "I think there are a lot of leaders from this group. From the last few years, there have been great people who have taken care of this environment really nicely. But for the three games, Riyan will be leading. He is well capable to do it and I expect everyone to be with him and support him."
Meanwhile, it will be the first time for Parag to be the captain. He has been part of RR since 2019 and in IPL 2024, he scored 573 runs (the most by an RR batter) and hit four half-centuries which led him to debut in T20I and ODI for India.
