30 Rock actor Maulik Pancholy gets engaged to partner Ryan Corvaia at the Taj Mahal

Maulik Pancholy, an American actor of Indian origin and the former star of 30 Rock and Weeds, got engaged to his partner of nine years, Ryan Corvaia at the Taj Mahal on Thursday, 9 January. The news comes just months after Pancholy came out publicly about his relationship in November. Pancholy told Out magazine that he and Corvaia had just celebrated their nine-year anniversary, noting that his mood was particularly jubilant "on the heels of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions." Pancholy's fiancé, Ryan Corvaia, is the founder and owner of New York City-based catering and hospitality company Dish Food & Events. It’s clear that the couple need not worry about the caterers at their wedding. During their vacation, Corvaia has been posting pictures of street food on his Instagram account. The actor, who currently voices the title character on Nickelodeon’s animated comedy series, Sanjay and Craig, had protested against Indian Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a law that criminalizes gay sex and posted a photo of him with a placard on Twitter.
