Amita (Chandni Bhagwanani), of Amita ka Amit, may not be the most beautiful and talented daughter, but her on screen mother always loves her child unconditionally, come what may.
Jyoti Gauba who plays Amita’s mom Varsha Patel says, “Amita’s parents are okay with it that their only daughter has never been a topper in school. In the fancy dress competition, she was a tree who just stood on stage and was never a prize winner. Instead, she stood with a tray bearing the trophy to hand it over to the judge who would present it to the winner. Despite her shortcomings, we have given her all the love and affection.”
Currently Gauba is playing a concerned mother who hopes that her daughter will be happy in her sasural. “Nowadays many marriages end in a divorce. Varsha feels that Amita should mould herself well to adjust herself into the family she is getting married into. If she accepts her in-laws just like the way she has accepted her own parents, life will be a lot easier for her. Even if she didn’t marry the man of her dreams, she should still be happy,” the actress observes.
As a matter of fact, Amita’s mom has also taught her to be happy come what may. That is why even when things go wrong, she says (as was shown in the trailer), “Phir bhi zindagi khoobsoorat hain.”
