Bollywood actress Amrita Rao is all set to make her fiction debut on small screen. The diva will be seen in Nivedita Basu’s (The House of Originals) finite series on &TV.

According to a national daily, the actress has given nod to the upcoming musical based show, Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai.

The soap set in the backdrop of the music industry will be shot at real locations. It will also star veteran actress Deepti Naval, who will play Amrita’s older avatar.

Deepti while talking to the media confirmed doing the show but said that she would wait for the channel to announce the date.”  

Confirming the news, producer Nivedita Basu has also been quoted, “It’s true that Amrita is making her debut with this series and Deepti will play the older self.”

Amrita has starred in Bollywood movies like Ishq Vishq, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Vivah and Satyagraha.
