Arjun Bijlani and Dalljeit Kaur complain about the adverse rise in electricity bills; the former has a humorous take on it

The rise in electricity bills has also affected celebrities. While Tapsee Pannu was one of the first to point it out, TV stars Arjun Bijlani and Dalljeit Kaur have placed their complaints on twitter asking for a clarification.

MUMBAI: A lot of residents across Mumbai are complaining of adversely high electricity bills especially for the month of June 2020. The bills that the residents have received during lockdown is mindboggling. Not only common citizens, but also celebrities have been affected with the crisis. Television actors Arjun Bijlani and Dalljiet are among the few celebrities who have complained about the inflated electricity bills. Both Dalljeit and Arjun tweeted about the same.

The Gudaan Tumse Na Ho Payega actress is utterly shocked after receiving a huge bill of Rs 40,000 and has tweeted questioning the authorities at the electricity board. 

She tweeted, "Suprised with my electricity bill of 40,000/- @TataPower !Joining the bandwagon of customers suprised with electricity bill. Please help with my lack of understanding @TataCompanies @TataCompanies #tatapower #electricitybill #ElectricityBill2020 #electricitybillJune #complaint."

While Dalljiet questioned directly to the authorities, Arjun Bijali had a humorous twist to his complaint.

The Ishq Mein Marjaawan star tweeted, "My last name is Bijlani. And friends call me bijli. Aur mere bijli ka bill aaya haiiiiiiiiiiii (my electricity bill is) 48970. Shukriya @Adani_Elec_Mum.I guess bharna toh padega (I guess I'll have to pay up)."

According to Times of India, India Times, the list of other celebrities who faced the same problem includes Nimrat Kaur, Soha Ali Khan and Neha Dhupia .

Actress Taapsee Pannu was one of the first celebrities who spoke about the issue and had tweeted to complain that there has been an "insane rise" in the electricity bill for the month of June 2020. (With inputs from IANS).
