AUDIENCE PERSPECTIVE! The netizens express disappointment about Indian shows running on for years; here is what they had to say

MUMBAI :Indian television shows have been a part of the audience's daily lives for a long time now. Over time, the type and platform of content changed a lot but people still wish to go back to television dramas and call it their comfort zone.

But even though the shows are highly loved, Indian shows tend to go on for a long time. The shows run for years on end and the audience keeps watching. But the shows even lose TRPs sometimes because after a point, the track loses its charm and the audience doesn’t feel like watching it anymore.

The netizens have expressed their disappointment regarding the same. They feel the shows need to end after a point of time once the story does not go in a good direction that the audience appeal to.

Here is what they had to say:

Rupali Mehra: I feel the shows keep on running year after year and lose the main theme of the show after a point. I fail to understand the reason behind this and I feel a show needs to end after a point of time.

Shruti Rathod: I feel instead of bringing in leaps and twists which drive away the plot and the audience, it is better to bring the show to an end. The series from abroad are loved worldwide because they follow the lines of a theme and end at a reasonable time.

Tina Sahay: The shows become so lame and illogical after a point in time. It feels so dragged and the makers keep on running it. They bring in new faces, leaps, tracks of memory loss, and what not to take the story forward but do not end it.

Shreya Rathi: I wish the makers here understood the importance of ending a show at a reasonable time. They feel long-running shows are better but they are highly mistaken. The shows even divert from the main theme and keep on running pointlessly.
