Aushima-Rucha, the desi catfight

Rucha Gujrati and Aushima Sawhney have gotten off on a wrong note right from day one. The two just don’t seem to get it right and with them having to share a room and a family, things are only hotting up in Desi Girl with Sawhney threatening to quit the show because as she said on camera, she can’t put up with “s*** from Rucha anymore. TellyChakkar spoke to the two girls on what seems to be going wrong. Says Gujrati, “Yes, I think Aushima and my combination is not that great. I am simple and sweet, I don’t like to hurt anyone’s feelings. But Aushima is very boisterous and rude. She is very dominating. Still even viewers will know that I have been trying from my end to build chemistry, trying to adjust but there is no response from her. She is very competitive and from the beginning has been competing with me. It was never a competition with the other team but with me. I think another reason for us not getting along well is probably the age gap. I am young while she isn’t so there will be a difference of opinion. I have tried to act mature and handle the situation but things didn’t work out with her.” Sawhney says, “Well, in tonight’s and tomorrow’s episodes you will see why I threatened to quit the show. I have had to put up with her childishness for quite some time now. I don’t think the channel has shown the other side of Rucha Gujrati at all. She is very immature and is always trying to get attention from the family members we are living with. She can’t take jokes and sometimes even does things to attract attention. We have got to understand that we are not living in our homes in Mumbai. We are living in a village and we have got to behave accordingly. Who would I have loved to partner with if not Rucha? I think, Kashmera. I like her. She is straightforward and not fake. I don’t like dishonest, fake people. She and Anmol are probably the only ones who are honest.”
