Now, this man of ideas has decided to widen his horizon and enter the realms of 70mm.Yes, he is producing a film on the Bhanwari Devi gang-rape case which took the nation by storm in the year 1992.

The flick is currently in the pre-production stage and will hit the floors in May, 2012. Mahesh Pandey, a veteran in the TV industry is writing the script and is also directing the film.
“Sara Khan (Bidaai and Bigg Boss fame) has given a nod to be a part of my film. I have also approached Mitali Nag (currently seen in Afsar Bitiya), and she is trying to arrange her dates,” Nikhil further shares.
The movie will be shot in and around Jodhpur and Jaipur, Rajasthan. “The government is providing all necessary assistance to us and they did not even charge anything from us to shoot in the selected locations. They are happy that we are making a movie which can create a difference,” ends Nikhil.
The flick is expected to release in Diwali, 2012.
