MUMBAI : Married women in India, particularly in North India, are the main celebrants of Karva Chauth, a significant Hindu festival. It involves women praying for their husbands' health, longevity, and wealth while fasting for 24 hours.
Women dress traditionally, sometimes wearing red or brightly coloured sarees and wearing henna on their hands, and participate in several rituals, such as the moon-sighting ceremony, where they break their fast after praying to the moon.
TV stars usually celebrate Karva Chauth with great enthusiasm, sharing glimpses of their celebrations on social media.
Many ordinary people participated in the rite by fasting and dressing to the nines. Many of our well-known and well-liked celebrities joined them, fasting and sharing their Karwa Chauth celebrations on social media.
Divyanka Tripathi posted lovely photos from her celebrations of Karva Chauth with hubby Vivek Dahiya. The couple, who are well-known for their modest and customary festivities, frequently share sweet photos of themselves together, with Divyanka wearing traditional clothing and Vivek by her side.
Expectant mother Shraddha Arya posted a lovely video from her Karva Chauth party in which she and Bharti Singh, the laughter queen, are both giving each other candy and doing the tradition. Debina Bonnerjee celebrated Karva Chauth as well, being composed and elegant the entire time.
TellyChakkar hosted a poll to see who dressed their best out of the four celebrities and while Debina and Shraddha received 10 percent and 14 percent votes respectively, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya scored higher with 34 percent votes. Bharti Singh won the poll with 42 percent votes!
